As a native of Austin, TX and having spent my entire life in South Central Texas, my passion for the arts and education was developed at a young age. I delved into the world of fine arts, with a specific focus on realistic portrait drawing and painting. It was during this time that I discovered the art of portrait photography and was immediately drawn to it. It was a perfect match for my artistic eye and allowed me to truly capture the essence of my subjects.

Interestingly, it was my mother who first planted the seed of portrait photography in my mind. She always admired and appreciated my portrait drawings, yet could not help but wonder why I did not opt to take a photograph, given the realistic rendering of my artwork. It was then that I realized that she was right, and that photography was the natural progression for me.
